The Wyalusing Public Library is now part of the PA Forward Pilot program.

We have achieved our GOLD STAR – the highest designation in the pilot program!

PA Forward will promote and benefit all libraries. For academic libraries, the campaign will strengthen the public’s perception that academic institutions provide great benefits to their local communities by sharing resources and services with the community as well as students and faculty. For school libraries, PA Forward will reinforce what experience tells us – that students in schools with strong libraries learn more, get better grades, and achieve higher test scores than their peers without libraries.

For public libraries, PA Forward will position them as essential to a growing customer base of private and municipal organizations and individuals. It will also position them as high-quality early learning providers that ultimately save taxpayer dollars otherwise needed for remedial programs.

Please note – Professor John will be away for the next 2 weeks, so there will be NO computer class or Gadget Club on Wednesday 8/17 or Wednesday 8/24. He will return on Wednesday 8/31.

Summer Reading

Summer Reading: Required summer reading books are available here to read. Each book or audio book may be checked out for 2 weeks and may NOT be renewed. We do have multiple titles of some of the books, reserves may be placed on the titles.

The end of summer is quickly approaching…….

Don’t forget that the Community Summer Reading Challenge ends as of Labor Day.

Complete the challenge by Sept. 6 and you can enter your name in a drawing for a free book sponsorship – your name on the dedication plate of a new library book and you get to be the first to check it out of the library.

Challenge forms must be turned in at the library.
